Identity pt. 1

Updated: Sep 12, 2024

If you want to express who you are it must be done through the Creator.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)

We truly understand ourselves when we recognize that we are created by God for a reason, for a purpose. If we have no understanding of what the purpose is for us then we miss an integral piece of our identity. God has ‘general’ purposes laid out for humanity as expressed to Adam and Eve in Genesis 2 but there are specific destinies for every person. David was created by God to be the King of Israel and the physical father of the future eternal ruler of Israel and all of creation, Jesus. When we know, by experience, through relationship God our Father, and we know our purpose and destiny in Him then we can truly express who we are.
